Minimal, Vintage, Swiss Style

Rayout

THE BRIEF

Daniel, an expert in the digital capture services field, also sells professional tether cables, and contacted me to rebrand and build a website.

His inspo images included vintage logos, the Alpinist Magazine covers, and race car liveries. Anchoring my design in the Swiss Style from the 50s and 60s, I created a few different logo options that leaned minimal and vintage. We landed on one that looked like RAYOUT was written upon two perspective lines, reminiscent of sun rays.

I also created a brand new website with a few informational pages and a concise e-commerce shop. The whole project took a few weeks, including receiving feedback and jumping on a few phone calls to discuss our options.

DESIGN NOTES: LOGO

The client wanted the logo to be clean, minimal, and vintage-inspired. Upon looking at the inspo images, I thought that the Swiss Style of design would be a great starting point that encompassed the client’s design needs. We explored a few different logo styles and ended up with one that looked like it was written on perspective lines that look like sunrays.

DESIGN NOTES: WEBSITE

The goal was to create a simple but effective website for Rayout that conveyed professionalism, offered social proof of their work, and succinctly described their services. We also wanted to continue the clean, minimal, vintage vibe from the logo and branding throughout his website.
